The Zine Bazaar, launched in 2018, is a two-day zine festival organised by the queer collective Gaysi Family<\/a>. Hosting the work of over 60 artists from across the country, it comprises exhibitions, talks, workshops and panel discussions. It has a central theme for each edition, around which the zines and programming are based. \u2018Identity\u2019, \u2018Vision\u2019 and \u2018Desi Fantasy\u2019 have been the themes of the first, second and third editions of the festival respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blaft, Bombay Duck Designs, Boomranng, deadtheduck (aka Madhav Nair), goodbadcomics (aka Aditi Mali), Kadak, Kritika Trehan, Kruttika Susarla and LABIA are among the artists, collectives, publishers and studios to have exhibited their work at the event. Actors Faezeh Jalali, comedian Pramada Menon and singer Ramneek Singh have performed at the Zine Bazaar over the years while authors Natasha Badhwar, Parvati Sharma and Vijayendra Mohanty have conducted workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival, which was held Mumbai in 2018 and then both in New Delhi and Mumbai in 2019, was on hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic. It returned to Mumbai for its fourth edition in October 2022. The website Agents of Ishq, artists Artwhoring (aka Priyanka Paul) and Pearl D\u2019Souza, magazines Revival Disability and The Phosphene and newspaper The Irregular Times ran stalls at the event. Talks and workshops on NFTs, artist rights and podcasting were also major parts of the the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Air:<\/strong> Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, formerly known as Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport serving the Mumbai metropolitan area. It is situated about 30 km from the main Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) train station. Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji has two terminals. Terminal 1 or the domestic terminal was the old airport referred to as Santa Cruz Airport, and some locals still use this name. Terminal 2, or the international terminal, replaced the old terminal 2, formerly known as the Sahar Airport. The Santa Cruz Domestic Airport is about 4.5 km from the international airport. There are regular direct flights to Mumbai from other airports. Buses and cabs are easily available from the airport to reach desired destinations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. By Rail:<\/strong> Mumbai is very well connected to rest of India by train. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the most popular station in Mumbai. By Road:<\/strong> Mumbai is well-connected with national highways and expressways. Visiting by bus is economical for individual tourists. Government-run, as well as private buses, operate daily services.
