The events at the festival cover a vast array of interests ranging from history and architecture to science and cinema. One of the largest cultural gatherings in the country and India&#8217;s second biggest literature festival, it has received over 3 lakh attendees in recent editions. A non-exclusive and non-aligned event, it is open to the public \u2013 registration is free. Noam Chomsky, Ramachandra Guha, TM Krishna, Arundhati Roy and Shobaa De are only some of the prominent personalities to have participated in past editions of the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.festivalsfromindia.com\/organiser\/dc-kizhakemuri-foundation\/\">DC Kizhakemuri Foundation<\/a> with the support of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.keralaculture.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kerala Culture<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keralatourism.org\/topic\/culture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tourism<\/a> departments, the Kerala Literature Festival was launched in 2016. The sixth edition, scheduled for January 2023, will take place in Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala. A four-day event, the festival will see five different venues simultaneously host a number of programmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forthcoming edition will host Nobel Laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Ada Yonath, 2022 Booker Prize winner Shehan Karunatilaka and International Booker Prize winner Geetanjali Shree among key speakers. Besides, one of the prominent events at the festival would include a showcase by PEN Presents\u2014a partnership between English PEN and the British Council, as part of India-UK Together, a Season of Culture. The showcase accommodates translations by the PEN Presents winners Deepa Bhasthi, Kartikeya Jain, Shabnam Nadiya, Nikhil Pandhi and V. Daily flights from cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Delhi as well as Middle Eastern countries serve Kozhikode. Passengers can avail local vehicles to travel to Kozhikode city from the airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Rail: <\/strong>Kozhikode has its own railway station (code: CLT).
