“Sama’a: The Mystic Ecstasy, is a festival of Sufi music organised by the National Centre for Performing Arts<\/a> (NCPA). The festival embodies the values of Sufism and emphasises the use of music to deepen one’s relationship with the Creator and attain spiritual transcendence through Sama’a, the Sufi practice of listening to music, chanting, and whirling.<\/p>\n

The festival was launched in 2009 and the 11th edition<\/a> of Sama’a: The Mystic Ecstasy features highlights such as Rangreza: A Musical Presentation Based on Sufi Poetry, An Ode to Rumi: A Presentation Based on the Poetry of Mevlana Rumi by Kabir Bedi, Rumiyana: A Journey Within, and Within: Songs of the Sacred by Sonam Kalra & the Sufi Gospel Project.<\/p>\n
