Founded by the Samved Society for Performing Arts<\/a>, the Pandit Durgalal Festival is held in memory of the doyen of the Jaipur gharana of Kathak. It was started by his disciple Uma Dogra<\/a> as part of the Samved Society. Over three decades, this festival has seen luminaries from the field of Indian classical vocal, instrumental and dance grace its stage and pay tribute to the kathak legend. This is the 33rd edition of the festival. Some of the renowned artists who have performed in the Pandit Durgalal Festival include Pt Jasraj, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia, Smt Sitara Devi, Pt Birju Maharaj, Pt Kelucharan Mohapatra, Smt Sonal Mansingh and Shri Jagjit Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is situated about 30 km from the main Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) train station. Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji has two terminals. Terminal 1, or the domestic terminal, was the old airport referred to as Santa Cruz Airport, and some locals still use this name.
