Launched in 2009 by Ranga Shankara,<\/a> the AHA! Theatre for Children Festival has become one of India’s most important platforms for young audiences. Now in its 15th edition, the festival will run from 15 to 19 July, 2025 in Bengaluru, featuring innovative plays from across India and the world.<\/p>\n

This year’s programme explores universal themes of self-discovery, courage and imagination through diverse productions. Highlights include Ranga Shankara’s new play ‘Chamak’, about a child understanding her place in the world, along with ‘Harvest’, an international production from Berlin. Other featured works include ‘Saau’, a metaphorical journey about finding light and courage; ‘Job Less Job’, which redefines societal labels through friendship; ‘Everyone Plays’, an interactive experience for toddlers.<\/p>\n

For nearly two decades, the AHA! Theatre for Children programme has led India’s Theatre for Children movement. By presenting high-quality performances and fostering artistic exchange, Ranga Shankara continues to expand what children’s theatre can be. The programme creates<\/a> meaningful experiences that entertain while encouraging young minds to question, imagine and connect with the world around them.<\/p>\n
