The annual Indian Photo Festival, launched in 2015, is among the country\u2019s longest-running international photography festivals. Held across multiple venues across its host city of Hyderabad, it comprises exhibitions, talks, discussions, portfolio reviews, screenings and workshops that are free to attend. A platform for professional and aspiring photographers, photography lovers, and the public at large, the Indian Photo Festival strives to promote the art of photography while addressing social issues through the medium. The festival is held in collaboration with Telengana Tourism, Goethe Institut, Alliance Francaise in Hyderabad and GITZO among others.
Raghu Rai, Sebastiao Salgado, Roger Ballan, Nick Ut, Martin Parr, Reza Deghati, Carol Guzy, Ron Haviv, Stuart Franklin, Gauri Gill, Pep Bonet, Anush Babajanyan and Tasneem Alsultan are among the lensmen and lenswomen who have participated at the festival\u2019s seven editions so far. Each year, the festival also presents the Indian Photo Festival Portrait Prize. Between editions, the organisers Light Craft Foundation run several projects, including a mentorship programme for young Indian photographers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The eighth and latest edition of the festival was held between 18 November and 19 December 2022. Speakers who participated in the latest edition include Sarah Leen, Smita Sharma, Sabeena Gadihoke, Tarun Bhartiya, Dominique Hildebrand and many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
