The Studio Potters\u2019 Market is a festival within a festival. During the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, the garden behind the Max Mueller Bhavan serves as the venue for over 40 contemporary studio potters from across the country to showcase handmade ceramics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, the craftspersons converse, collaborate and interact with visitors. At the Studio Potters\u2019 Market, there\u2019s a potter\u2019s wheel for visitors to try their hand at the craft, ceramics to paint, live demonstrations to watch, and a chance to witness a traditional or contemporary ceramic artist create a life-size sculpture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The market, which was launched in 2009, returned after a two-year break at the 2023 edition of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
