Founded in 2012, the Bangalore Literature Festival is an independent, community-funded event that seeks to commemorate the Garden City’s literary diversity and creative spirit. To make the festival \u201crooted in Bengaluru with global aspirations and to create a space for discussions around literature and life\u201d were the guiding principles for founders Vikram Sampath, Shinie Antony, and Srikrishna Ramamoorthy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 1,500 writers and speakers have been part of the Bangalore Literature Festival, including Gulzar, Chandrashekara Kambara, Ashok Vajpeyi, Arun Shourie, Ian Jack, Shobhaa De, Ramachandra Guha, Perumal Murugan, Chetan Bhagat and Amish Tripathi. Over the years, the community-funded festival has become Bengaluru\u2019s flagship annual literary experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The twelfth edition of the festival will be held between 14 and 15 December 2024 at The Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
