ComplexCity is a festival that travels \u201cacross spaces in Mumbai for open-hearted conversations and reflections\u201d that \u201cwork towards sustainable futures\u201d. Organised by the non-profit development organisation YUVA, ComplexCity brings together diverse voices from Mumbai. Collectively, they unravel the complex realities that surround the country\u2019s entertainment and financial capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is, the organisers say, \u201ca forum\u201d that \u201cseeks to better people\u2019s understanding of urban spaces, and build respect and appreciation for the role of every stakeholder\u201d to create an inclusive city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fourth edition was held over a series of weekends in May and June 2022, featuring the Making Mumbai youth convention, film screenings, an online photography contest and a street play competition. Members of children and youth collectives also led walks in the informal settlement of Ambujwadi in Malad and in the rehabilitation and resettlement colony of Lallubhai Compound in Mankhurd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2023 edition of the ComplexCity festival was held between 11 February and 29 April at multiple venues in Mumbai. Some of the events at the festival included youth competitions and cultural events at Maharashtra Nature Park in Dharavi, curated walks in Lallubhai Compound and Malad and a street play competition at Dharavi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
