Bonjour India is a multi-city artistic, cultural, educational and social initiative that celebrates cultural, literary and scientific partnerships between India and France. It is put together by the French cooperation network in India comprising the Embassy of France and its cultural service, Institut Fran\u00e7ais en Inde, the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise network and the Consulates of France.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events at Bonjour India cut across the fields of\u00a0arts and craft, dance, design, film, food and culinary arts, heritage, literature, music, photography and visual arts. They include\u00a0conferences, debates, book tours, film screenings, food tastings, dance recitals, music concerts, theatre and circus performances, and\u00a0photography and\u00a0scientific exhibitions.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Past editions of the festival have been held in 2009-10, 2013, 2017-18 and 2022. The fourth and latest instalment of the festival in November 2022, have comprised events in 20 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Goa, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Pondicherry, Pune, Trivandrum and\u00a0Udaipur.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlights of this edition<\/a> have been an exhibition entitled Convergence<\/em> that showcased works by French and Indian photographers who lived and worked in India between the mid-19th century and the 1970s;\u00a0Elektrik<\/em>, a performance of the electro dancing style by choreographer Blanca Li; and\u00a0Science Beyond Borders<\/em>, an exhibition of the history of scientific collaboration between France and India in fields such as medicine, education and engineering. Science Beyond Borders<\/em> was previously on display at the Piramal Museum of Art in Mumbai until 30 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
