Founded by Mahesh Babu and Nandini Mahesh in 1996, Banyan Tree Events focuses on showcasing living traditions that have travelled down millennia. It aims to “discover, preserve, nurture and celebrate these unique creative expressions” through six national festivals held annually in 18 cities across the country. Over 2,000 artists across genres, linguistic groups and cultural backgrounds, ranging from internationally acclaimed maestros to enchanting unknown bards from remote villages, have performed at its concerts.
