Annual reggae festival Goa Sunsplash was conceptualised in 2015 by Reggae Rajahs who had performed at similar festivals around the world and wanted to recreate that vibe back in India. Formed in 2009, Reggae Rajahs are a crew of DJs, MCs and promoters who focus on spreading the sounds of the Caribbean across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have opened for Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Shaggy and UB40 and and have toured across Europe, South America and South-East Asia. They are also co-founders of the hand-built 10,000 Lions Sound System. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other key members of the Goa Sunsplash team are Laiq Qureshi, the founder of artist and event management and promotion collective Urban Beat Project; reggae DJ and producer Rudy Roots; Pierre Obino, the co-founder of 10,000 Lions Sound System; and DJ and event promoter NZ Selector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
