Abhivyakti City Arts Project, an initiative of the UNM Foundation – Torrent Group, is a multidisciplinary platform that showcases creativity and innovation across artistic practices.
Launched in Ahmedabad, the first edition focused on curating and supporting local artists, bringing their stories into the public domain. In later years, applications were opened more widely, attracting participation from across Gujarat and eventually from artists across India.
Over six editions, Abhivyakti has presented the work of more than 600 artists, spanning dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, and has welcomed a cumulative audience of over six lakh people. All events are free and open to the public, reinforcing the project’s aim of accessibility and inclusivity.
Beyond performances and exhibitions, Abhivyakti is positioned as a cultural movement. By activating parks, public spaces, and community venues, it builds connections between artists and audiences, while contributing to Ahmedabad’s evolving creative landscape.
