Baarish is a multi-arts festival and immersive celebration of the monsoon, held in New Delhi. Returning for its second edition on 21 June 2026, the festival explores the many ways rain has shaped India's cultural imagination, bringing together music, storytelling, food, fragrance, art, and conversation within a multi-sensory format.
Set in an intimate glasshouse setting, the programme features a range of experiences inspired by the season, including a Mango Mehfil, handcrafted sherbets, a fragrance experience by OLFA Originals, and a seasonal mixology showcase by Rampur Virasat 1947. The line-up also includes Meghdoot, a monsoon-themed classical music recital by Dr Atul Shankar and ensemble, and Rasikas of Baarish, a conversation led by historian Eric Chopra (Itihāsology) exploring the cultural histories and memories associated with the rains.
The festival culminates in a live performance by Midival Punditz featuring Malini Awasthi, Kutle Khan, and Pavithra Chari, bringing together folk traditions, contemporary music, and electronic sounds. Through performances, conversations, and curated experiences, Baarish reflects on the monsoon as a shared cultural memory and a recurring source of artistic inspiration across India.
