    How To Get There

    How to Reach Udaipur
    1. By Air:
Maharana Pratap Airport (Dabok) serves Udaipur and has regular domestic connectivity. Direct flights operate from major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. The airport is located around 22 km from the city. From here, prepaid taxis and app-based cabs are readily available and take roughly 30–40 minutes to reach central Udaipur.

    2. By Rail:
Udaipur City Railway Station is well connected to key Indian cities including Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. Trains such as Chetak Express, Mewar Express, and Bandra–Udaipur Superfast Express operate on these routes. Local transport options like auto-rickshaws and taxis are easily available outside the station for onward travel within the city.

    Items & Accessories to Carry

    1. Light, breathable clothing with a warm layer. March in Udaipur has warm days and pleasant evenings, but nights can get slightly cool, so cotton outfits along with a light jacket or stole are recommended.

    2. Comfortable walking footwear, as festivals often involve moving between heritage venues, palace complexes, ghats, and open-air spaces with stone pathways.

    3. Sun protection essentials such as sunglasses, sunscreen, and a cap or scarf, especially for daytime events held outdoors.

    4. A reusable water bottle, particularly useful if you’re attending long outdoor performances or moving between venues throughout the day.

    5. Medicines. Travel, heat, and packed schedules can be tiring, so carry basic medicines, painkillers, digestive aids, and any personal prescriptions.

    6. A tote bag or small backpack, for carrying festival schedules, brochures, souvenirs, a scarf, or other essentials while on the move.

    7. Cash and cards. While Udaipur is tourist-friendly, smaller vendors and local transport may prefer cash, so it’s advisable to carry some along with cards.
