The annual IHC Theatre Festival, launched in 2002, brings together a diverse selection of theatre productions from across India, spanning classics, translations, adaptations and original devised works. Held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, the festival presents around ten productions each year, ranging from solo performances to large-scale works and productions for different age groups.
Alongside performances, the festival’s programme includes film screenings, talks, workshops and conversations with theatre practitioners and artists. Over the years, it has featured productions by theatre companies including QTP, The Company Theatre, Akvarious Productions, Adishakti, Patchwork Ensemble, Sandbox Collective and others.
The festival provides a platform for different approaches to contemporary theatre while bringing established and emerging practitioners together with audiences. Its programming reflects the diversity of theatre practice in India, encompassing multiple languages, forms, themes and performance traditions.
After a pandemic-related break in 2021, the IHC Theatre Festival returned in 2022 with a programme of ten productions. The festival continues to be an annual part of Delhi’s theatre calendar.

How to Reach Delhi
1. By Air: Delhi is well connected by domestic and international flights to all the major cities within and outside India.
