Kahaani: Dilli Ki is a two-day cultural festival that brings together the many histories, communities, and lived experiences that shape Delhi. Set against the historic Travancore Palace, the festival explores the capital’s living heritage through music, performance, food, craft, and storytelling.
Curated by Indophile, the programme journeys through Delhi’s layered identities mythical and modern, imperial and intimate—via concerts, heritage conversations, culinary explorations, and artisanal traditions. The festival features a diverse range of performances including contemporary music, kathak, dastangoi, street theatre, and poetry rooted in the city’s cultural fabric.
A key focus of the festival is its culinary programme, which traces Delhi’s gastronomic evolution across Mughal, Kayastha, Baniya, and street food traditions. Complementing this are sensory-led installations inspired by Old Delhi’s Khari Baoli, archival photography exhibitions, a crafts bazaar, and conversations with historians, writers, architects, and cultural practitioners.
Together, these elements position Kahaani: Dilli Ki as a platform that reflects Delhi’s plurality, resilience, and continuing cultural life.
