Majuli Music Festival
Every November, Majuli — the world’s largest river island — transforms into a boundless stage where music flows with the Brahmaputra. For three unforgettable days, sound merges with ferries on the water, drumbeats in the air, and voices rising together in celebration.
Now in its 6th edition, the festival gathers indie, folk, jazz, electronic, and experimental artists from across India and beyond. Rising stars share the spotlight with established names, yet the true headliner is the island itself — with its open skies, glowing sunsets, and the sense of community that turns strangers into one moving crowd.
The experience extends far beyond the stage. Visitors can taste local fish curries at riverside stalls, join dance circles under the sun, or step into workshops where master drummers, storytellers, and artisans share their traditions. By night, the island comes alive with colour — music rolling across the river long after the last ferry has docked.

1. Winter will be welcoming you during November so make sure you carry extra jackets to cover yourself from the chills.
2. Sandals, flip flops, sneakers (perfect option if it's not likely to rain) or boots (but make sure they are worn in). You need to keep those feet tappin'. On that note, carry a bandana or a scrunchie to avoid tressy accidents with your fellow festival-goers.
3. A sturdy water bottle, if the festival has refillable water stations.
