Maya Bazaar is India’s largest in-person inclusive marketplace, bringing together queer, DBA, marginalised communities and allies in a vibrant space celebrating creativity, entrepreneurship, art, music, food and diversity.

Launched in 2021 by Road to Utopia, a queer feminist DEI consulting firm, the festival began as a platform for LGBTQIA+ business owners, artists and performers and has grown into a wider cultural movement that connects community, creativity and commerce.

The 8th edition, Maya Bazaar 8.0, returns to Bengaluru at The Lalit Ashok, expanding its platform to welcome talented entrepreneurs, artists, creators and performers from other marginalised communities as well.

With previous editions in Goa, Shimla and Bengaluru, Maya Bazaar continues to create spaces where diverse communities can showcase their work, build livelihoods and connect with audiences.

    About Road to Utopia

    Road to Utopia
Road to Utopia, a queer-feminist collective based in Bangalore, India was founded in 2017. The larger context was to collectivise an already existing knowledge base within various individuals who were working together. Road to Utopia has its core value in empathy, compassion and the drive to unlearn conditioning and challenge systemic inequalities. Our core functions are rooted in education, capacity building, DEI consulting and customised workshops for all types of situations. Our community collaborations are an active part of all our engagements which help us present real-world problems and solutions to stakeholders. We collaborate with individual experts who are often overlooked like trans* teachers who bring lived experiences to the classroom or parents of queer folks who have moved towards a greater acceptance of their child. Which is why our team itself consists of various strong subject matter experts who come in on a project-to-project basis. Drawing on our successful track record of driving culture and values transformations within for-profit and non-profit enterprises, our team is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the challenges faced by corporates and NGOs in diversity, equity and inclusion.
