Step into the desert and let music, craft, and stories guide your journey. Thar Blues is a soul-deep experience in and around Jaisalmer, where the landscapes you may have first seen in Satyajit Ray’s Sonar Kella come alive with the rhythms of blues and folk music. Over two days, immerse yourself in magical sunset performances by the internationally acclaimed Barmer Boys at Gadisar Lake. Try your hand at morchang-making workshops and join storytelling and music sessions at the house of the late Padma Shri Sakar Khan. On the second day, explore Kamaicha workshops and intimate veteran Manganiyar baithaks. Travel unhurriedly through the desert, enjoy home-cooked Rajasthani meals, and participate in folk instrument sessions. Meet the last living Kamaicha maker, Shankara Suthar, and connect deeply with the artists and culture that bring the desert to life. This is not just a festival. It is an intimate, immersive journey where every note, every story, and every meal invites you to slow down, feel, and truly live the desert’s timeless charm. Upcoming Tour Dates: 22–23 November 2025, 20–21 December 2025, 24–25 January 2026, 14–15 February 2026, 14–15 March 2026 Pricing: Per Experience ₹21,500 plus GST. How To Get There

    How to Reach Jaisalmer
    1. By Air:
Jaisalmer is not directly connected by air with any part of India. Jodhpur Airport, located about 300 km away from Jaisalmer, is the nearest airport to the desert land. The airport connects Rajasthan with all major Indian cities. From Jodhpur Airport, tourists can hire cabs to reach Jaisalmer.

    2. By Rail: Jaisalmer is served by both broad gauge and metre gauge railway tracks. Jaisalmer can be reached through direct trains from Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur. The luxury train 'Palace on Wheels' is also available. Upon reaching the station, visitors can avail of auto rickshaws and private taxis to reach their destinations at nominal fares.

    3. By Road: Jaisalmer has a well-maintained network of roadways. Deluxe and ordinary buses of Rajasthan Roadways and many private operators connect Jaisalmer with Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bikaner, Barmer, Mount Abu, Ahemdabad etc.
