Partung Carnival is more than a music festival — it is a celebration of nature, culture, and community set against the breathtaking landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Rooted in the Eastern Himalayas, Partung brings together contemporary music, indigenous traditions, and conservation-driven storytelling in one immersive experience. Born from the idea that culture and ecology must grow together, Partung creates a space where global sounds meet local voices. From live performances and DJ sets to art installations and nature-inspired visuals, every element of the carnival is designed to reflect the raw energy of the mountains and the stories of the land. What truly sets Partung apart is its deeper purpose. The festival actively highlights conservation, wildlife awareness, and sustainable practices, reminding audiences that celebration and responsibility can coexist. Local communities, artists, and creators are placed at the heart of the experience, ensuring that Partung is not just hosted in the region, but belongs to it. Vibrant, youthful, and grounded in meaning, Partung Carnival is a gathering for those who seek music with soul, experiences with depth, and festivals that leave a positive footprint long after the last beat drops.

1. Warm woollens and layered clothing. January is winter in Pasighat, with cool days and chilly mornings and evenings, so sweaters, jackets, and thermals are essential.
2. Comfortable closed footwear with good grip, especially if you plan to walk around uneven terrain, riverbanks, or outdoor festival venues.
3. A sturdy water bottle, particularly useful if events have refillable water stations and you’re spending long hours outdoors.
4. Medicines. Cold weather, travel fatigue, and long days can take a toll, so carry basic medicines, painkillers, cold relief, and any personal prescriptions.
5. A tote bag or small backpack, for carrying books, brochures, souvenirs, or extra layers while moving between venues.
6. Cash and cards. ATMs can be limited and digital payments may not always work smoothly, so it’s wise to carry sufficient cash along with cards.
