The Siliguri International Short Film Festival was launched in 2019 to project the “filmmaking power” of the eponymous city in the northeastern part of West Bengal. Every year, over 20 locally-made short documentaries, fiction films and music videos, with a duration of between two and 59 minutes, are screened at the event. Awards are given to the best three works in each category. The last edition of the festival was held on 17 December 2022.
The upcoming edition of the festival will be held on 22 December 2024.
