    How To Get There

    How to reach Thane

By Air: The nearest airport to Thane is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (Mumbai), located about 25 km away. The airport is well connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, as well as international destinations. From the airport, taxis, app-based cabs, and buses are easily available to reach Thane conveniently.

By Rail: Thane is one of the most important railway junctions on the Central and Trans-Harbour lines of the Mumbai suburban network. It also serves as a stop for several long-distance trains connecting Mumbai to other parts of India. Regular local trains from Mumbai CST, Dadar, and Kalyan make Thane easily accessible for daily commuters and visitors alike.

By Road: Thane is well connected by a network of highways and roads to Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik. The Eastern Express Highway, Ghodbunder Road, and Mumbai-Nashik Highway provide smooth connectivity. Several state transport and private buses operate daily services to Thane, while taxis and app-based cabs are readily available for local travel.

    Items & Accessories to Carry
    1. Light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable in Thane’s warm, slightly humid weather.
    2. Comfortable footwear, because you’ll likely be walking around festival venues, markets, and cafés.
    3. A sturdy umbrella, just in case there’s an unexpected post-monsoon drizzle.
    4. A tote bag, for all the books, crafts, or souvenirs you may want to take back home.
    5. A reusable water bottle, to stay hydrated while exploring or attending events.
    6. Cash and cards. Smaller vendors or local stalls may not always accept digital payments, so it’s best to carry both.
    7. A COVID pack: hand sanitiser, extra masks, and basic medicines to keep handy while travelling.
