Organised by Tape A Tale in collaboration with Musicathon, The 4M Festival is where Mountains meet Music, Mic, and Magic. Set against the backdrop of the Himalayas, the festival brings together storytellers, musicians, and audiences in an intimate celebration of voice, emotion, and community.
Launched in 2025, the festival combines the soul of live storytelling with the energy of independent music, creating a multi-sensory experience that feels both grounded and transcendent. Nestled in nature, it transforms the mountains into a stage where love, longing, and belonging echo under open skies.
Designed as a gathering for both artists and audiences, the festival goes beyond entertainment to create space for community, creativity, and authentic exchange. It is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and rediscover stories, songs, and selves in the wonder of the mountains.

1. By Air:
Shimla has a small airport at Jubbarhatti (about 23 km from the city), but flight connectivity is limited. The nearest well-connected airport is Chandigarh Airport (113 km away), which has regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and other major cities. Another option is Delhi Airport (350 km), with easy road and rail links to Shimla.
2. By Rail:
The Kalka–Shimla Toy Train (a UNESCO World Heritage narrow-gauge railway) is the most scenic way to reach Shimla. You can take a broad-gauge train up to Kalka (90 km from Shimla), which is well connected to Delhi and Chandigarh. From Kalka, the toy train or shared taxis/buses can take you up to Shimla.
3. By Road:
Shimla is well connected by road. Regular bus services (both government and private, including luxury Volvos) operate from Delhi (around 8 hours), Chandigarh (about 4 hours), and other Himachal towns. You can also hire private cabs or drive yourself, with NH5 offering a fairly smooth route.
