Veru is a two-day heritage festival held in Kochi, with the 2026 edition scheduled on 02 and 03 May at David Hall. The festival brings together practitioners, organisations, and audiences engaged with Kerala’s natural, cultural, and built heritage.
The programme includes exhibitions by regional heritage practitioners, alongside heritage walks, performative presentations, and conversations. The 2026 line-up features participation from 14 practitioners working across disciplines, presenting projects and practices connected to local histories, material culture, and community knowledge systems.
Structured as an in-person gathering, Veru focuses on interaction and exchange, with formats that encourage audience participation across sessions. Through its programming, the festival creates a space to engage with questions of heritage, sustainability, and cultural continuity in contemporary Kerala.
