Events company Banyan Tree launched the World Jazz Festival in February 2020 with the intent to showcase and celebrate jazz and world music in India. The festival, held in association with the Amersfoort Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, features artists from around the globe.
The second edition took place in Bengaluru on 03 June 2022 and in Mumbai on 04 and 05 June 2022. The line-up included saxophonists Alexander Beets and Ben van den Dungen and multi-instrumentalist Saskia Laroo from the Netherlands, singer-songwriter Jodi Fredericks from South Africa, and Indian composer and guitarist Prasanna, among others.
The third and latest edition of the festival was a five-city tour across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The festival toured the different cities for ten days, between 20 and 30 April 2023. The event featured an extraordinary line-up of international jazz musicians from the Netherlands, USA, Thailand, Serbia, Brazil and South Korea.

How to Reach Mumbai
1. By Air: Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, formerly known as Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport serving the Mumbai metropolitan area. It is situated about 30 km from the main Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) train station. Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji has two terminals. 2. By Rail: Mumbai is very well connected to rest of India by train. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the most popular station in Mumbai. Trains to Mumbai are available from all major railway stations in India. Some important Mumbai trains of note are the Mumbai Rajdhani, Mumbai Duronto, and Konkan Kanya Express.
3. By Road: Mumbai is well-connected with national highways and expressways. Visiting by bus is economical for individual tourists. Government-run and private buses operate daily services. Travelling to Mumbai by car is a common choice made by travellers, and hailing a cab or hiring a private car is an efficient way of exploring the city.

1. By Air: You can reach Bengaluru via air at Bengaluru International Airport, which is located at a distance of 40 km from the city.

2. By Rail: Pune Junction Railway Station connects the city with all the prime Indian destinations. Mumbai (140 km), Ahmadnagar (121 km), Aurangabad (215 km) and Bijapur (275 km) all are well linked to Pune by a number of states and roadways buses. Those driving from Mumbai need to take Mumbai-Pune Expressway route, which takes barely two to three hours to cover a distance of about 150 km.

By Rail: Being the headquarter of the South Central Railway, Hyderabad is well connected with all the major cities of India, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Kochi and Kolkata. There are railway stations at Nampally and Kachiguda. Trains leaving from these two stations can also be boarded at the Secunderabad Railway Station.
3. By Road: Regular services of state roadways and privately-owned buses are available from the Hyderabad Bus Stand. Roads are well linked with important cities and states. You can also hire rental cars or taxis to get to your desired destination.
