The Mumbai-based Contemporary Clay Foundation, which was established in 2017, is an artist driven, not-for-profit organisation set up to support and elevate clay-based art practices and build informed audiences for ceramic art in India. Its objective is "to create an open, inclusive platform that showcases experimental clay-based projects" through a country-wide open call. The Contemporary Clay Foundation also engages with the international ceramics community, creating cross-cultural dialogue and foregrounding the best practices in the field.
