Mobility Funding Guide 2025: Cultural Exchange Funding for India

The Mobility Funding Guide: India Edition (March 2025) offers a comprehensive overview of funding opportunities supporting cultural exchange to and from India. Designed for artists, cultural professionals, and organisations, the guide maps available funding across a range of artistic disciplines, listing national, regional, and international sources from both public and private sectors.

This edition features 8 India-based and foreign trust funds, foundations, and cultural institutions, presenting 10 funding schemes specific to India, alongside an additional 36 opportunities focused on Asia. To ensure accuracy, only funding programmes with regular, publicly accessible information have been included.

Organised systematically by sector, eligibility (individuals or groups), and geographic scope, the guide makes it easier to navigate available resources. While not exhaustive, it serves as an essential starting point for anyone exploring mobility funding within the Indian context.

Developed through extensive research and direct communication with funders, the guide is a joint initiative of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and On the Move (OTM), continuing their commitment since 2012 to support international cultural exchange across the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) countries.
