All Living Things Environmental Film Festival
The All Living Things Environmental Film Festival, launched in 2020, is a platform that ”inspires and mobilises communities to take action towards creating a sustainable future, locally and at large”. Its mission is to engage the public on the environment and social issues of our time through informed and creative discourse. The films, the organisers say, “spark dialogue and debate, encouraging audiences to ask questions, share ideas and take action to shape our collective futures in the face of the climate crisis”. In addition to film screenings, attendees can watch talks and discussions, participate in workshops, and view artworks and installations.
While the first two editions of the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival were conducted digitally, the third instalment, in 2022, is scheduled to be held as an in-person multi-city event. With screenings being held across Kolkata, Mumbai, Goa, Ooty and Delhi, some of the films to be showcased include “All That Breathes” by Shaunak Sen, “The Keepers of Corn” by Gustavo Vazquez, “Colonies in Conflict” by Rajani Mani and “The Seeds of Vandana Shiva” by Camilla Becket, among others.
