About Himalayan Society for Art, Culture, Education, Environment and Film Development

Himalayan Society for Art, Culture, Education, Environment and Film Development was founded by filmmakers Rajesh Shah and Shalini Shah to promote cinema culture. In addition to the annual Kautik International Film Festival, the society conducts foundation courses in cinematography, acting and scriptwriting. It also organises film appreciation camps in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, in association with Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
