About Rekhta Foundation

The Rekhta Foundation, established in 2012, is a not-for-profit organisation focused on preserving and promoting Indian languages, literature and culture. It operates under four broad areas of social impact: democratising access, through various free online literature and language repositories such as Rekhta.org, Hindwi.org, Sufinama.org and rekhtadictionary.com; preservation, through the digitisation of literature and rare manuscripts across various languages; education, through programmes and learning apps for script, vocabulary and more; and promotions, through the annual Jashn-e-Rekhta festival, which celebrates the vibrancy of Urdu and Hindustani culture; the Rekhta Publishing division, and podcasts.
